I used FileSalvage to initially scan, then will restore my lost data – however LOTS of stuff came up with filename extensions I am not familiar with; did not find any with the '.screenflow' fn-extension. So here's my question: Based upon what you see here in my screen-capture is there any series (from the recognizable 'JPEG's, 'PDF's, etc.). FileSalvage supports more than one hundred file formats and it will be really useful if you delete files by mistake or if you decide to recover them later. It's not dificult to use, you can search for recently deleted files or enter some parameters for an advanced search. Jan 15, 2019 FileSalvage is device and file system independent, which means that the user can recover files from a normal Mac OS hard drive, USB key, PC disk, Linux disk, FAT32 disk, FLASH card, Digital Camera, iPod (non-iOS based), and almost any other media or file system that can be recognized in Mac OS X. What's new in FileSalvage Version 9.2.
SubRosaSoft.com has announced the release of FileSalvage 5.0, a new version of the data recovery software for Mac OS X. It costs $89.95 on CD. Upgrades cost $39.95. Subtract $10 from each price for the downloadable version.
FileSalvage restores files that have been accidentally deleted or have become unreadable due to media faults. It works on hard drives, USB keys, Linux disks, Windows drives, Flash cards, scratched CDs and more.
New to this release is a new and streamlined interface, support for Intel-based Macs, an auto file renaming feature and a new bootable DVD. Free space scanning is now supported on Intel-based Macs, which focuses recovery on the free space areas of the drive.
A trial version is available for download. FileSalvage requires Mac OS X v10.3 or later.
