To get a size match for the DS 3 Crossback, top-end versions of the VW T-Cross are snapping at its heels. While the VW is a boxy and conservative thing, the French have genuinely gone for some. 2020 DS3 Crossback Exterior By adopting the Crossback name, like its big sister, the DS7, the second generation of DS3 abandons the world of city cars to become a crossover. This change of universe is accompanied by a radical transformation in its design. The DS3 Crossback has a new version of 155 hp of the 3-cylinder petrol 1.2 PureTech, coupled with the automatic gearbox EAT8. This block is also available in 100 and 130 hp versions. In addition, two 1.5 BlueHDi types of diesel of 100 and 130 hp are available.
Pricing for the 3 Crossback might prove its biggest stumbling point. The range starts off sensibly enough, but the most eye-catching prices are reserved for the weedy petrol engine in entry-level spec. A glance at the other engines and trims might have you muttering “Hmm, that’s quite a lot” before exclaiming “Sacré bleu!” when you see how much the top models cost. The Volkswagen T-Cross and Seat Arona are much better value, and while the most popular Puretech 130 in Prestige trim is priced nearer to other premium cars, such as the Audi Q2 and Mini Countryman, those are far more well-rounded cars.
At least the 3 Crossback fights back with its efficient range of engines. These should all keep running costs low, thanks to sensible claimed combined economy and relatively low CO2 emissions – good news for all you company car drivers out there.
Elegance trim is the entry point, and apart from 17in alloy wheels and manual air conditioning, there's not much to recommend it beyond the infotainment and parking aids we've mentioned previously. Pinnacle scsi & raid devices driver download. Prestige trim is where the extras begin to fit the premium billing, with privacy glass, climate control, power-folding mirrors and automatic wipers in the mix, but of course, there's the price to consider.

..How do you remain relevant as a car maker in this day and age? Simple: you introduce either an SUV or an electric car. It could be a stroke of genius, then, that the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense is both of those things.
Intrigued by the name? Well, in French, the word ‘tense’ is associated with atmosphere, situation, time and silence; words that paint a picture of what the E-Tense is billed to be all about.
As with the regular fossil-fuelled DS 3 Crossback line-up, there are several trim levels to choose from, but only one electric motor and battery combination. Only the really observant will notice that the badge on the bonnet is different; the rest of the exterior is pretty much unchanged over the regular DS 3 Crossback.
As the French PSA group’s ‘premium’ brand, DS gets first dibs on most new technology and benefits from the combined electric car knowhow of Citroën and Peugeot. That’s just as well because the E-Tense finds itself up against some very capable rivals, including the Hyundai Kona Electric and a former What Car? Car of the Year, the Kia e-Niro. It’s fair to say, then, that DS has big ambitions for its first electric car.
